I'm a self taught visual media...guy?
I've always had a love for cameras and visuals in general. Being obsessed with looking through old disposable camera shots of family holidays from a young age and moving on to shooting and editing Jackass style videos from my early teens, cause it was the 2000s after all.
I started designing graphics out of necessity in the 2010s when my band needed a logo, so I got GIMP and started learning how to create logos, this led to single and EP artworks, gig posters, you name it, whatever we needed, I learned how to make.
This led back to me editing videos well over ten years after my Jackass attempts in order to create teasers for songs, tour videos, music videos, and all sorts of other promotional content, again, if we had an idea, I figured out how to execute it.
It wasn't until the music industry fell in 2020 and started back up again after the pandemic that a spark was ignited in me with gig photography. I still remember the moment at a hardcore show in downstairs Fibber Magees in 2022 that kicked it all off. After having the scariest words said to me "follow your heart" by a friend it all felt like it started to click.
From that night I became obsessed with capturing those unforgettable moments at events.
Focusing on the insanely talented independent music scene in Ireland I fell in love all over again with this island's creative output. Working with artists across all genres from the smallest of shows to Download Festival debuts, I want to show people why they should being paying attention to the Irish creative scene.
